What I like in an outfit

My style is influenced by many different sources. I love shopping at thrift stores because I always come away with a great find or two. Forever21 is also a favorite store of mine, as well as Urban Outfitters and Modcloth. I'm really into different patterns and textures, and recently I've apted for more neutral colors.

I've been hunting for a dress for awhile now. Believe me, I have more than enough, but I have this idea of "the perfect dress". I have no idea what this dress would look like or how it would fit, but I know it's out there, calling my name! And someday I will find it. And I will luuurve it forever.

Anyway, these are some pics of what I like in an outfit. I wish all my outfits looked amazing, and maybe someday they will, but for now the best I can do is be creative with what I have (seeing as my piggy bank is not at it's fattest) :] My sister told me the other day that I really shouldn't worry about whether or not people like my style. It's about what you want to wear, and how you want to present yourself. I'm tired of dressing safe.

Why does everyone have to fall under a certain "type"? We're not books, which are amazing, but always categorized. Why can't we all live on the same shelf, rather than divided? Don't get me wrong, I hate those fucking posts where people try to make themselves seem really intellectual and important. I'm honestly curious as to what stands in the way of equality, besides people's greed and bigotry. Are those the only things, and are all issues connected?
